Description from Classic Auctions: A product of the Northern Michigan University Wildcats in the NCAA after playing a single season of junior hockey with the Toronto Marlboros of the OMJHL, Steve Weeks would be drafted 176th overall by the New York Rangers at the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft and go on to play in 291 National Hockey League games over the course of his career with the likes of New York (R), Hartford, Vancouver, New York (I), Los Angeles and Ottawa. Also wearing the red and white of Team Canada at the 1985 IIHF World Championships where he helped his country to a silver medal, offered here is this Vancouver Canucks jersey worn by Weeks during the 1988-89 season. Made by CCM and sporting a partially washed out Maska Ultrafil label is affixed to the inner collar, a tonal orange and black CCM "small block" logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem as well. Measuring out to roughly a modern size "50" and decorated over the front with a Canucks "flying skate" team crest that features embroidered details throughout, the Babe Pratt memorial patch that was added to the jerseys by the club after Pratt's passing on December 16th, 1988 is affixed over the right breast. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Weeks' number "31" in dual layer yellow-over-orange tackle twill numerals, "Weeks" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear, team repairs and puck marks are observed over the front and left sleeve while additional pucks marks are present over the right sleeve as well. Also showing staining over the front hem and right elbow as well as some pilling around both sides of the collar, the interior of the jersey has had the fight strap cut out of it and also shows other various puck marks and pilling around the collar as well. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey has been matched with Getty Image #943910864 (January 9th, 1989 vs Toronto) to the puck mark present at the bottom right of the team crest.

The jersey has two repairs, one just to the side of the crest on one on the sleeve.
