Description: From Gamewornauctions.net: This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Grant Fuhr during the 1994-95 NHL season. It was with the 8th overall selection in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft that the Edmonton Oilers further cemented their destiny to greatness. Fuhr spent the first 10 years of his 19-year career with the Oilers. During that time he won 5 Stanley Cups and numerous other accolades. Some of the career highlights include a Vezina Trophy, a Jennings Trophy, a 1st and a 2nd Team NHL All Star selection and 6 NHL All Star game appearances.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Buffalo Sabres 25-year anniversary patch. This size 58 goalie cut sweater has been customized for Fuhr with the sleeves having been severely shortened. The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and puck marks, paint transfer and pilling. On the back player number is a silver sharpie signature in Fuhr’s own hand. A beautiful sweater from Fuhr’s brief time in Buffalo during the NHL’s strike shortened 1994-95 season.
