Description: Giacomin wore this remarkable white durene #1 Rangers jersey at home in his final season with the Rangers, including his last game with the Rangers on 10/26/1975. The jersey shows some wear, Giacomin played 3 of his 4 games with the Rangers at home before being claimed on waivers by the Red Wings. There is video from Giacomin’s last game that shows Eddie at the end wearing this jersey. The placement of the name and numbers on the back match up to the jersey. Additionally, the jersey matches up to the distinct angle and stiching of the E in RANGERS on the front. The alignment of the N in Rangers also overlaps the neck reinforcement also matches up between the jersey and the photos.
The Rangers 50th anniversary patch that adorns the left chest is an extremely rare and desired patch. It is extemely exciting to add this special jersey to my collection.
