Description: This home purple and gold knit gamer by CCM was worn by Al Jensen during the 1986-87 NHL season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Jensen in the 2nd round of the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. Jensen made his NHL debut in 1980-81 with the Wings before joining the Washington Capitals the following year. Jensen spent parts of 6 seasons with Washington, where in 1983-84 he won the William M. Jennings Trophy and finished 3rd in Vezina voting. In February of 1987, the Caps traded Jensen to the LA Kings for Garry Galley. Al wrapped up his NHL career during the following month and a half with Los Angeles. His final NHL won-loss record of 95 Wins, 53 Losses and 18 Ties remains quite impressive.
Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the Los Angeles Kings 20-year anniversary patch. Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the born on tag of “86-01”. The game wear on this size 52 sweater is on the lighter side, as would be expected, with some stick and puck marks, pulls, pilling and a salted fight strap worthy of mention. A nice anniversary patched example that marked the end of this award winning goalie’s NHL career.
